This Tudor inspired Foot Stool is hand crafted in Cornwall with a Jacquard woven chenille panel and fitted with solid wooden tulip feet. The textiles of Tudor England have inspired this vibrant foot stool. Magnificent pomp and display marked Henry VIII day. The royal meeting at the Field of the 'Cloth of Gold' was characteristic of the splendour of the period. This was also the time of Italian silks and satins with the marvellous colours - crimson, masareene blue, dove coloured fabric embellished with orange and russets. The first printed pattern book was also published in Augsburg Germany [1523], followed by dozens of similar books.
