This Tudor Red and Gold Tapestry Draught Excluder is faced front and back with a Jacquard chenille, fitted with a concealed zip and filled with a curled feather pad. The textiles of Tudor England have inspired this luxurious draught excluder. The royal meeting at the Field of the 'Cloth of Gold' was characteristic of the splendour of the period. It was the time of Italian silks and satins with the marvellous colours - crimson, masareene blue, dove coloured fabric embellished with orange, tawn and russets. The first printed pattern book was also published in Augsburg, Germany (1523), followed by dozens of similar books. Cross-stitch, two sided Italian cross-stitch, tent and basketweave, brick and encroached gobelin were some of the favoured embroidery stitches of these times.Key Features:Jacquard woven chenille draught excluderFilled with curled feather padCreated in Cornwall, EnglandDry clean only
