Each piece of Silbury Ghost jewellery is individually handmade by Catherine Goodwin in England. After showing her work in an art exhibition she was asked to produce some leaves for the new Stonehenge visitor centre. The Oak leaf is from a single Oak tree near to West Kennet Long Barrow. The name of the oak tree was part of the Proto-Celtic word for 'druid', when near a grove of Oaks you were supposed to turn your coat inside out to neutralize their magic. The leaves are created in pure solid silver which contains no copper. The silver is recycled, made by a company that recycle and reclaim metals and produce silver in a clay form. It is sintered in a kiln just like ceramic clay transforming it into solid precious metal. Every silver piece is signed Silbury Ghost.
