The Morris Brother Rabbit Tapestry Door Curtain, is a beautiful fully lined fine woven Jacquard door curtain, created by Master Flemish tapestry weavers, giving a superb detail to the weave. The original fabric was designed as a tribute to the Uncle Remus books, first published in 1881, and a favourite of the Morris family. Original woven at Merton Abbey Surrey, it was adapted by Morris from a 17th Century Italian silk. Despite Morris' ambitions to be a painter and his latter reputation as a writer, poet, publisher and political activist, it is as a designer that he is most widely known. His style formed a bridge between Victorian and modern composition, the emphasis of Morris' timeless style is based on individuality and handcrafted work.Key Features:Jacquard woven tapestryFully lined door curtainCreated in Cornwall, EnglandDry clean only
