Kenwood Dairy Mug

PHOTO MISSING

Julius Caesar Ibbetsons Three Long-horned Cattle at Kenwood (1797) evokes the rural romance of this great London mansion. The painting, reproduced on this mug, is from the Iveagh Bequest, the collection Edward Cecil Guinness gave to the nation along with the house in 1928. In the background are the dairy buildings, used by the second Lady Mansfield to share the then fashionable country idyll with her aristocratic friends. Recently restored, it retains many of its Georgian features today. A lovely memento of a special place, the mug is beautifully hand-decorated in the Staffordshire Potteries.
